Supples Gallery is pleased to present CLASH, a solo exhibition by Aung Myint, on view from May 9 - July 12, 2026. Presented in collaboration with The Sea Art Gallery and curated by Mike Thukha Kyaw, the exhibition traverses painting and sculpture, underscoring the artist’s sustained living legacy across media.
Working with a reduced yet highly charged palette, Aung Myint constructs surfaces where color and gesture take precedence over narrative. Recurrent figures and direct gazes appear throughout the paintings, creating a sense of continuity across the works while maintaining an underlying intensity. Rather than guiding the viewer toward a fixed interpretation, the compositions remain open, shaped by rhythm, repetition, and the artist's intuitive process.

The presentation is further expanded by two bronze sculptures from the Mother & Child series, translated from the artist's iconic one-line drawings. Their presence introduces a different material and spatial dimension to the exhibition, extending Aung Myint's exploration of form beyond the painted surface.
